Wig Sizing & Lace Guide – Velisse Hair

How to Choose Your Wig

Not sure which lace type, density, or size is right for you? This guide will help you find your perfect match.

Lace Types Explained

  • 13x4 Lace Front – A 13cm wide, 4cm deep lace panel at the front. Great for everyday wear with a natural hairline. Most versatile option.
  • 13x6 Lace Front – A deeper 6cm lace panel, allowing more styling freedom and a deeper part. Ideal if you like to part your hair further back.
  • 360 Lace – Lace all around the perimeter of the wig. Perfect for high ponytails and updos.
  • 4x4 / 5x5 Closure – A smaller lace piece in the centre-top. More affordable, easy to install, and great for beginners.

Density Guide

  • 150% Density – Natural, lightweight look. Great for everyday styles.
  • 200% Density – Fuller and thicker. Popular for a glamorous, voluminous look.
  • 250% Density – Extra full and dramatic. Best for special occasions or bold styles.

How to Measure Your Head

  1. Use a soft measuring tape.
  2. Start at your natural hairline at the front.
  3. Wrap around the back of your head, just above the ears.
  4. Return to the starting point.
  5. Most wigs fit a circumference of 53–58cm (average cap size).

Wig vs. Bundles – Which Should I Choose?

  • Wigs – Ready to wear, easy to install, great for beginners and quick styling.
  • Bundles – Raw hair extensions you can sew in, glue, or use to make a custom wig. More flexibility, requires more styling knowledge.
